Why is occupational therapy so important?

Occupations, or every day tasks, make up each and every one’s daily routine. In order to complete these tasks, strength, balance and endurance are necessary as well as adaptive strategies to ensure safety and efficiency. Occupational therapy enables independence during daily tasks that someone has, needs and wants to do while considering the person, the environment and the task.

  • Improve independence
  • Improve safety
  • Increase autonomy
